Gastronomy 4.0. What’s it all about and what use is it?

Industry 4.0, also known as the fourth industrial revolution, dominates a new stage in the technical evolution of humanity.

Artificial intelligence is seen as the central plank of this transformation, closely linked to the growing accumulation of large amounts of data (big data), the use of algorithms to process them and the massive inter-connection of digital systems and devices. While these concepts may sound far from gastronomic realities, they are coming closer and closer to everyday restaurant activities and can help us to take our cuisine to the next level.
