PepsiCo is expanding the SodaStream brand with the introduction of SodaStream Professional, an eco-friendly hydration platform where users can choose from various unsweetened flavors, carbonation levels and temperatures to create the perfect drink. Consumers can also record their favorite drink combinations, set hydration goals and track how many plastic bottles they’ve saved to date through the accompanying mobile app, SodaStream Connect.
Rolling out commercially to workplaces, college campuses and airports, SodaStream Professional will support the health of both consumers and the planet as businesses reimagine the future of beverage experiences. «SodaStream Professional offers a unique way for consumers to personalize great-tasting hydration and reduce single-use packaging at the same time,» commented Scott Finlow, chief marketing officer, PepsiCo Foodservice. «We’re thrilled to bring these hallmarks of the SodaStream brand to channels outside the home for the first time.»
PepsiCo’s Global Design Team was involved in this project from start to finish, helping create the platform’s intuitive user experience, as well as the physical look and feel of the equipment itself. The challenge was to design a machine that delivers a great water beverage all-in-one unit, while also seamlessly integrating into kitchen environments.
Among the defining features is a thin, structural edge that frames a spacious and illuminated pour area with a floating display in the center. With its sophisticated look and slender proportions, it stands apart from other water dispensers in the market. From its technology to its thoughtful focus on personalization and sustainability, PepsiCo’s integrated hydration platform re-imagines hydration equipment with the modern consumer in mind.
